A slightly late hotfix and balance patch but hopefully improvements will make up for it!

Gameplay

  • Adjusted melee rollback calculations, leading up to less misses and reduced erroneous hitstops
  • Fixed next dodge after an uninterrupted throw effect always being a recovery dodge
  • Fixed push crowd control effects overwriting stagger/knockback, which caused infintely locking up at stagger animation

Note: The fix here was to not apply push while someone is within stagger animation, but in the future we want to have it as yet another additive force instead. So once that change happens, you will still get pushed back by revolver shots while in stagger or knockback. This separation will be very important for the upcoming HMG.

Game Modes

Touchdown

  • You can no longer die after scoring
  • Some attack animations such as dash will no longer replay when switching to post-touchdown state

Maps

Outer Space

  • Made hall lasers thicker, you no longer need to walk into center of it
  • Raised the height off glass showcase barriers on the hallway
  • Fixed some collision and visual issues, improved bridge looks
  • Blastable barriers in the center are now on a straight line

Weapons

Broadsword (Item: Durendal / Founder’s Sword)

  • Adjusted attack timings for light slash and strong cut, making them slightly faster and spread out more equally over time
  • Hold duration for strong cut has been increased to 0.2s from 0.15s to prevent accidental strong cuts
  • Reduced dash vfx lifetime to match the rest of the attack

Rifle Cannon (Item: Helios)

  • Charging no longer gets stuck when the release input is dropped
  • Crouching mid-charge no longer leaves residual vfx
  • Zoom no longer gets stuck when the weapon is disabled

Swordgun (Item: Scorpio)

  • Increased bullet radius to 2.5cm from 1cm
  • Reduced bullet damage to 6 from 7
  • Adjusted bloom curve to spread slightly more
  • Removed stagger effect from first hit across all charge levels
  • Reduced no charge second hit stagger duration to default 0.367s from 0.4s
  • Reduced max speed of full charge by 15%, increased startup speed for both charge levels
  • Increased full charge duration to 0.666s from 0.606s

Client

  • Added /help command (with aliases of /commands and /list) to get a list of all the commands. It will provide different commands depending on context (practice vs matchmaking)
