Now that matchmaking is fixed (99% of the time, it works every time), some bigger changes are done and we were able to work on things according to your feedback. We tried to get ahead of many bugs, yet still not done with them. So next patch should have the continuation of this one, especially when it comes to the broadsword, along with some extras.

Gameplay

  • Added assist system, killer earns 2 points by default and 1 point is added for every 1/8th of the damage for contributors that attacked within the last 7 seconds
  • Added gravity boost mechanic during falls, currently at 45%
  • Running now starts with max of -1 vertical speed instead of 0
  • Increased jump force to 12.35 from 11.5
  • Changed the jump animation
  • Changed dodge gravity and vertical speed behaviour
  • Added screenshake to attacks for more impact
  • Added damage combo counter and critical text to HUD
  • Replaced the hit indicator from changing crosshair color to showing a split X on the crosshair
  • Reduced esper sounds for yourself and the others by 20% and 30% respectively
  • Increased stagger and knockback crowd control state durations to 0.367s from 0.293s
  • Added missing footstep sound events

Weapons

Swordgun (Item: Scorpio)

  • Fixed shooting sound still playing at the recovery stage
  • Added SFX as feedback for hitting a player
  • Changed the SFX for shooting
  • Changed left click attack’s damage drop off: [0m, 25m] 100% effective; [25m, 50m] linearly goes down to 62.5% effective; [50m, 100m] linearly goes down to 37.5% effective; [100m, inf) 37.5% effective
  • Increased left click attack’s Flux consumption to 4 from 2
  • Reduced headshot multiplier to 1.25x from 1.4x
  • Changed the right click attack from a stab to stab & shoot with 3 hit instances
  • Added a VFX & SFX to the new right click attack
  • Charge duration of right click reduced to 0.8s from 0.84s
  • Right click charge no longer uses the initial 30 Flux, however it now consumes 2.5 Flux per tick instead of 1 Flux per tick
  • Refill movement speed multiplier increased to 1 from 0.8, making it same speed as walking with it normally
  • Refill animation adjusted to fit the new speed and refill duration reduced to 1.11s from 1.51s
  • Right click attack no charge damaged increased to 8 x 3 from 15 x 1
  • Right click attack first charge damaged increased to 16 x 3 from 20 x 1
  • Right click attack second charge damaged increased to 24 x 3 from 40 x 1
  • Hitbox and movements of right click attacks adjusted to fit the new version

Broadsword (Item: Durendal / Founder’s Sword)

  • Basic attack stagger crowd control effect and the premonition system removed
  • Changed basic attack durations to 0.34s and 0.44s from 0.37s and 0.53s respectively
  • Increased heavy attack hit likelihood by adding an extra 0.1s check timing
  • You can now cast heavy attack midair by holding it down regularly, it does the jump attack if you let go before the heavy just like normal attacks
  • Reduced jump attack damage to 25 from 35
  • Removed Flux consumption of jump attack of 25 Flux
  • Increased jump attack recovery animation duration to 0.8s from 0.66s
  • Fixed jump attack still happening even on the recovery state
  • Increased dash attack damage to 25 x 3 from 35 x 1
  • Increased Flux consumption of dash attack to 50 Flux from 30 Flux
  • Increased dash attack hitbox size in the front
  • Fixed strong cut after dash not spawning any VFX
  • Dash attack VFX no longer lingers after the state ends

Revolver (Item: Resolver)

  • Added SFX as feedback for hitting a player (only the center pellet is checked)
  • Changed to a 6 point pattern from a 4 point one. Shape has changed from the triangle to a pentagon
  • Increased Flux consumption to 20 from 16.666
  • Increased push amount to 10 from 7
  • Increased headshot multiplier to 2 for center pellet and 2.5 for outer pellets from the global 1.4 multiplier
  • Added automatic reload upon holding down left mouse click

Maps

City Square

  • Changed spawn locations and increased total amount
  • Changed colliders for vending machines to get on top easier

Service Point

  • Changed spawn locations and increased total amount
  • Changed colliders for top left building on the minimap for better walljumps

Client

  • You can now upgrade your account from Founders Pack 1 to 2 in game from the Extras menu (you just need another Pack 1, but Pack 2 would also work)
  • Added free cam mode to Practice Mode (F10 to activate, hold right click to control it)
  • UI now shows a waiting screen while equipping, unequipping or using items
  • Fixed spawn selection keeping old player indicators, they should now be cleared
  • Added another mouse unlock after the matches to prevent mouse getting stuck
  • Updated translations

Settings

  • Added reload, change to weapon, free cam and emote wheel keybindings (wheel itself isn’t implemented yet)
  • Added HUD transparency setting
